Ohm MIDI Controllers
Ohm is an innovative MIDI control surface from Livid Instruments. Custom designed for real-time audio and video performance, Ohm gives you expressive hands-on control of sound, video, and images. Livid designed the Ohm from the ground up including industrial design, printed circuit design, rubber key pad design, embedded firmware, wood and metal enclosure fabrication, assembly, and production
Circuit Boards
Livid has designed and produced many types of printed circuit boards for use in physical control, I/O interface, LED arrays, and to house micro controllers. These circuit boards are currently used in thousands of Livid Instruments’ products sold around the world.
Rubber Pads
Livid custom designs rubber key pads for optimized control and performance. These custom designed key pads are used in the Livid Ohm MIDI controller and are designed for maxim tactile performance and durability.
Viditar
The Viditar was product that sparked the formation of Livid Instruments in 2001. The Viditar was designed by Livid’s founder Jay Smith to be a real-time video performance instrument. The Viditar is used by Smith in the rock band Sinch, and has been featured in Wired, Apple.com, Tech TV, South by Southwest, and Fusion TV. Livid founders Peter Nyboer and Travis Redding also contributed to the development of the Viditar prior to the formation of Livid offering software and instrument design.
Respondr Tables
Livid custom builds metal tables for the respondr interactive display system. The tables are fabricated from steel in the Livid shop and are custom deigned to house the respondr system and display. Livid also fabricates the custom road cases used to ship these tables all over the world.
Zynth and Hybrid HG
These instruments resemble a standard electric bass or guitar. It uses a patent string triggering system to trigger midi notes as you play. Our artists use the zynth to simultaneously play guitar and perform video from a single instrument.
Livid Union and Livid Cell
Commercial live video presentation software Union and Cell put the power of live video in concerts, clubs, churches, and broadcasts worldwide.
Enclosures
Our extensive experience and manufacturing equipment, waterjet, box pan brake, and powdercoating can fabricate professional enclosures for your project.
Livid fabricates the respondr projector enclosures for use in the respondr interactive video system. These enclosures are made of steel, cut with a water jet, and powder coated to conveniently house the respondr projection system.
Custom Road Cases
We fabricate our own ATA-style road cases, server cases, and work boxes. These heavy duty cases have been road tested by many tours, world-wide.
